Our two-year programme starts in September for students aged 16-19.

All applications for our Pre-Degree courses are made directly to the College. Find our range of Pre-Degree study options – from our Foundation Diploma in Art and Design to our UAL Extended Diplomas on our course pages. Search for the subject you are interested in and click 'Apply now' when you're ready to submit an application.

Our three-year programme starts in October for students aged 18 and over.

All applications for undergraduate degree programmes need to be made through the University and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS). Please follow this link for information on how to apply to UCAS. UCAS charge all students a fee for using this service. Currently, if you choose to apply to more than one course, university or college you will need to pay £23 when you apply. If you only apply to one course at one university or college, the UCAS fee is £12. Please contact us if you need any help and we will be happy to answer your questions.

A one year programme for anyone who has already completed their Undergraduate course.

All our Programmes and Courses require a portfolio of work before any decision can be made on an offer of a place; this should be a range of work demonstrating your artistic ability and potential. As an international applicant we understand that it is not always possible to attend an interview, therefore we can accept portfolios in various formats for example a link to your website or blog. We also arrange Skype interviews for our international applicants.

Once you have made your application you will be contacted by letter or email to confirm we have received it, and you will be requested to submit your portfolio of work. When the portfolio is received it will be passed to the relevant Programme or Course leader and they will assess your suitability for your chosen subject. We offer all students a Skype interview so you can see the tutor and talk through the Programme or Course. Once a decision has been made you will be informed in writing, if you are made an offer of a place it may be subject to an English Language condition.

Working with Open Doors International Language School (ODILS), we can offer a bespoke 10 - 12 week pre-sessional programme where necessary, as well as in-programme support (one hour per week) throughout the duration of your studies, until you have submitted your final contextual studies module (dissertation) in year three (level 6).

Plymouth College of Art is recognised as a Sponsor by the UKVI. This means we can issue you a Confirmation of Acceptance to Studies (often referred to as a CAS), which will then allow you to apply for a Student visa. We will issue your CAS following payment in full of your tuition fees.

We strongly recommend that you research how the visa application works well in advance of starting your course and also read about other issues that may affect you such as preparing to come to the UK and Culture Shock.
