Plymouth College of Art is a key partner in a new social practice platform, Beyond the Now, in collaboration with Tate Exchange and Counterpoint Arts. Master weavers from Myanmar share traditional techniques with students
As part of the British Council's Crafting Futures programme, Plymouth College of Art recently hosted master weavers from Saunders Weaving School in Mandalay, Myanmar. Students from our undergraduate and pre-degree textiles courses explored the importance of cultural exchange whilst learning traditional weaving methods from South East Asia.
