Students will also benefit from access to local university-standard creative workshops and studios, alongside online engagement with Plymouth College of Art’s expert staff, including:

  • Academic tutorial support

  • Contextual studies seminars

  • Technical support

  • English for Academic Purposes workshops.

Artslink’s own team of tutors will be on hand to provide guidance and support to students throughout the first year of their degree. From experiential retail designers to couture pattern cutters to freelance illustrators, Artslink tutors are all active creative practitioners with a wealth of experience in the global creative industries, ready to support your studies and work alongside tutors from Plymouth College of Art to ensure your successful progression from year one to year two of your chosen degree.

Your second and third year of your degree with Plymouth College of Art will take place on campus in the UK. If you don't meet our requirements for direct entry on to the BA, ArtsLink also offer a six month foundation course starting in August, which allows you to develop your creative skills, portfolio and academic English, and guarantees you a place upon successful completion and interview.

Plymouth College of Art is officially registered by the Office for Students, which is the single, authoritative reference about a provider’s regulatory status, under UK legislation. You can see Plymouth College of Art listed on the OfS Register here.

We are excited that we can now offer a range of our BA (Hons) creative courses to students in China through our distance learning provision, working with Artslink. Our vision for excellence in art and design distance learning, under the banner of our Connected Campus, affords students flexibility in their studies whilst being a valued part of our community.

These three-year courses all share a common distance-learning first year while specialising in a chosen subject, then progressing into our named BA (Hons) awards in years two and three on campus in the UK at Plymouth College of Art. In the distance-learning first year, students will have access to physical workshop and studio spaces in China, facilitated through our connections with Artslink.

January Start Degrees allow you to begin your studies in the Spring term from China. A January Start Degree will suit applicants who have taken Artslink’s Foundation course, and you will be supported in making your application to the January Start Degree of your choice by the Artslink team, working alongside our International Recruitment team.

The first-year distance learning element of these courses will finish in August, allowing you to take a short summer break before continuing straight onto the second year of your chosen degree at our city-centre Plymouth campus, towards the end of September.
