Fab Lab Plymouth is a digital 'fabrication laboratory' based in the heart of our city-centre campus for use by students, businesses and the public.
Our Fab Lab, part of the international Fab Lab network, is filled with the latest in digital design technology; from a range of 3D print technologies, 3D scanners, laser and waterjet cutters to the CNC milling machines, CNC router, and the vinyl cutter. We are an Autodesk accredited academic partner, and the Fab Lab team are highly skilled in a range of digital design software platforms.
We can support commercial business activity such as research and development, prototyping, and full product development.
The Digital Print Bureau is a professional printing service open to Plymouth College of Art staff, students, and alumni. Our dedicated team of print specialists are on hand to advise and guide you through a diverse range of print processes.
The Digital Print Bureau is home to a range of industry-standard printers from Giclée, transparencies and reprographic to reactive direct to fabric, dye-sublimation and more. The team works across our LAB’s to support a variety of processes.
We are committed to educating students on how to optimize their work through digital print, giving them the confidence and skills they need to succeed in the creative industries.
