Normally a first degree upper second class standard (2.1) in an Art, Design and/or Media discipline is required. Applicants with Accredited Prior Learning (APL) credits from previous qualifications and equivalent experience as a professional in creative practice (Accredited Prior Experiential Learning-APEL) are also considered as alternative fulfilment of the requirements. In all cases, prospective students must demonstrate their capability of studying at postgraduate level.

Young Arts provides creative activities for 4 - 18 year olds on Saturdays, evenings and holidays that are fun, inspiring and challenging. Young Arts is the ideal place to try a range of creative activity and to build an impressive creative portfolio for application to Foundation Diploma, A-level or BTEC courses at the college.
Short Courses provide creative learning opportunities for adults on evenings, Saturdays and holidays. Courses run at beginner and improver level, with intakes in September, January, April and holidays.
Short Courses are an ideal way to build up skills or a creative portfolio if you are considering studying on a degree. Enjoy being taught by experts in the specialist facilities of Plymouth College of Art.
