IMPORTANT PRE-ARRIVAL INFORMATION

In line with current Government advice on the COVID-19 Road Map, we will be welcoming visitors onto our campus from 26th April. Before you book a visit with us please read the following procedures we have put in place to ensure the safety of all visitors, staff and students.

ARRIVING ON TO CAMPUS - Please do the following when arriving on to our campus for your event.

Put on a face mask

Take your temperature

Sanitise your hands

Check in at reception

Maintain a 2m distance

MOVING AROUND THE CAMPUS - During your visit you will be escorted around by a staff member or Student Ambassador at all times. We have worked hard to ensure the campus is as safe as possible for all users, this includes one-way routes, social distancing and adopting good hand-washing and respiratory hygiene measures. We have an “open window” approach to ensure all our spaces are kept as well-ventilated as possible with fresh air, so bring some extra layers and be reassured that there are no recycled air ventilation systems used in our buildings.

FACE COVERINGS - Face coverings are one of a number of tools that we can use to help slow the spread of coronavirus, protecting the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of our community and guests. We understand that a limited number of people visiting the campus will be exempt from the need to wear face coverings.

ASYMPTOMATIC COVID 19-TEST - While the national vaccination programme is rolling out at a good pace, we have a responsibility to protect all members of our community and want to do everything that we can not to spread the virus. To help safeguard all members of our community, we advise that all visitors should book an Asymptomatic Covid-19 test and aim to have two negative test results, three days apart, before visiting the campus. The last test should be performed as close to the date of your visit as possible. If you are travelling from an area which is currently undergoing surge testing, you must have a test before you travel. If the test is positive, you must not travel until your period of self-isolation is complete.

SYMPTOMS - If you have Coronavirus symptoms, have tested positive for Coronavirus within the past 10 days or are awaiting a Coronavirus test result, please do not attend an in-person event. Contact us at hello@pca.ac.uk for help changing your booking. You will still then be able to visit us at a later date when and take advantage of our Travel Bursary scheme. The latest information on Coronavirus can be found on our website here.

WHAT HAPPENS IF LOCKDOWN RULES CHANGE? - Our team are continuously monitoring the government roadmap for the next few months and will always ensure all events are following recommended guidelines. Please note that all on-campus events are subject to being moved online if restrictions change. If this does happen all registered attendees will be notified.

SURGE TESTING - If you live in an area deploying surge testing please stay at home and contact hello@pca.ac.uk to arrange an alternative date to visit. If you’ve recently spent time within one of the areas targeted for surge testing but do not live there, you should continue to follow the national restrictions and check with your local authority whether you should get a test. For more information on Surge testing please visit Gov.uk’s guidance page.

AFTER VISIT - If you display symptoms/test positive in the 48hrs after you visit us then please contact health@pca.ac.uk.
