Students from BA (Hons) Painting, Drawing & Printmaking have been given special access to museum archives for a new display giving visitors a unique behind-the-scenes peek this June.
The group have been working in the archive collections of Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery over the past few weeks – drawing from the paintings, prints and objects catalogued and conserved behind the scenes.
This new initiative, developed with museum Education Officer Adam Milford, is the first time students have been allowed into the museum's storage areas to work.
The drawings and sketchbooks resulting from this three week process will be on display in the museum entrance from early June, giving the visitors a unique view into areas of the museum normally hidden from view.
