Gallery Shorts | Live Make: Chris Taylor

By Jake May

Part of our Gallery Shorts series, we interview artist and pathway leader for our BA (Hons) Ceramics programme Chris Taylor about his personal practice, teaching in the Crafts department, and our recent 'Live Make' exhibition.

Chris was one of six designer-makers, all college staff, who showed their work for our 'Live Make' exhibition in the Gallery at Plymouth College of Art, which ran from 27 April to 6 June 2015.

Chris is a ceramicist with an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art. Chris’s work combines traditional ceramic techniques, decoration, and process, with a specific interest in creating a sense of history within the objects he makes. Chris is also programme leader for MA Contemporary Crafts.

This film was directed by Jake May and filmed and edited by BA (Hons) Film students Robert Smith and Robert Marshall.
