Outreach & Schools

Our team are here to support you, and help students progress to studying arts at degree level; preparing for professional employment within the booming creative and cultural industries, which contribute over £80 billion per year to the UK economy.

We are passionate about building links with schools and colleges all over the country and endeavour to deliver first hand, relatable experiences to inspire your students to continue on with their arts education.

Please get in touch if you are interested in arranging a visit to learn more about studying art at degree level. On school visits we can provide talks on student life, portfolio reviews, mock interviews, and information on choosing the right creative degree.

We also offer face to face meetings to discuss ways in which we can work with you, and we understand the importance of facilitating good career guidance for your students. Our activites provide meaningful encounters with Gatsby Benchmarks 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Organising workshops is one of the best ways to give students an insight into studying arts subjects at degree level. We can provide everything from beginner or taster sessions to full projects. Please click this link to download our Outreach Workshop Menu. If there is a specialist discipline that you require, let us know and we can organise it for you.

Specialist Guidance

As well as workshops we are here to offer guidance and support, and can offer presentations and advice on student funding and UCAS applications, as well as course-specific talks for students wanting to learn more about specific areas of study. You can also download our Recruitment & Admissions guide here. Our practicing creative professionals are on hand to talk through their professional expertise and journey to inspire and inform your students.

Mock Interviews

Mock interviews are a great way to prepare students for HE interviews. Our graduate team can use their first-hand experience to offer tips and hints, as well as pinpointing ways in which students can stand out.

Portfolio Reviews

When applying for degree-level study, students need a creative portfolio or showreel that showcases a range of techniques and media, for them to demonstrate their skills, interests, experience and level of commitment to art, design and/or digital media. Our team can offer students practical tips on how best to present their work, what content to use, and how to order a portfolio or showreel.

Careers Fairs

Staff and students from Plymouth College of Art attend careers fairs all over the UK; please get in touch to request our attendance. If you would like to discuss any of the above, please contact our team at”
