Carri graduated from the University of East London with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Fashion & Textiles. Following a short period working for a leading design house, she went on to establish her own clothing label.
Frustrated that she could not find a photographer who could effectively capture the unique essence of the brand, Carri returned to photography and undertook all of the company marketing herself. Her studio rapidly became one of the leading alternative costumiers in the UK, and within three years of formation was nominated for the Queens award for export.
In 2004 Carri left the UK to promote her work overseas. She has since established offices in Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand and California. She returned to the UK in 2013, and inspired by the spectacular landscape of the South West, settled in Devon.
For the past 18 years photography has been the main aspect of Carri’s creative practice. She has been voted ‘Photographer of the Year’ for two consecutive years by Alt Fashion Magazine and her lavish, fantasy imagery is regularly featured in publications worldwide. In 2017 she completed an MA in photography at Plymouth College of Art. Her research work explores the detrimental effects of disposable fashion on society and the environment. She is a longstanding advocate of ethical fashion and is committed to promoting sustainability and diversity in the industry.
