Stay motivated and keep creating!
We understand that it might be difficult to keep motivated at the moment, with the changes and additional stresses that the global pandemic has brought into our day to day lives.
We wanted to share with you some of our favourite music that we hope will keep you inspired and help you #keepcreating from the comfort of your own home.
We also asked Fraizer White, one of our (BA) Hons Illustration students to create a motivational piece in response to the coronavirus crisis. Read about what inspired his illustration below.
"This drawing was inspired by the feeling of tranquility that comes when you're in the middle of work and you've got your head stuck in it. Like, that inside motivation to just keep going.
I've always got my dogs with me, so I added a furry friend in there too as a little nod to them, I also think having animals to look after at this time is really helpful for staying on top of things. I have a lot of animals in my house that need looking after, so that motivates me a lot! It means I have to be up early and that means I'm up and awake and ready to start first thing in the morning."
"I'm also keeping in touch with all of my classmates and tutors, and try and go for walks when I can.
I love studying at Plymouth College of Art. The atmosphere is incredibly creative and everyone is brilliant. I've made so many friends-for-life whilst studying here and I don't want my course to end, and I'm only in the second year!
The institution is brilliant and I feel like students' voices are really genuinely valued and listened to."
Have a listen to our Spotify playlist "Keep Your Head Up'. Hand-picked by our staff here at Plymouth College of Art, this playlist will give you the uplifting energy you need to keep your spirits up and enjoy your time spent working at home.
