New Evening Courses for 15-18 year olds

<p>Plymouth College of Art is excited to announce the launch of the new Evening Arts Club, a great opportunity for young people to show their artistic flair in a specialised subject.Plymouth College of Art is excited to announce the launch of the new Evening Arts Club, a great opportunity for young people to show their artistic flair in a specialised subject.</p> <p>Following on from the success of the Saturday Arts Club, a 30 week programme available to 4-16 year olds, an additional 15 week programme for 15-18 year olds, has been added due to popular demand. Initially, the Evening Arts Club will offer the opportunity study one of four specialised subjects but with an outlook to add more in the future. The subjects currently available include: Film &amp; video Photography Fashion Games Design &amp; Animation Rosie Gibson, Project Coordinator for Plymouth College of Art explains the benefits of the new programme "Evening Arts Club is a great opportunity for young people who already have a subject in which they want to specialise or learn new skills. Young people have asked to attend our adult evening courses so it's great to now provide something tailored to them." "Saturdays Arts Club provides a great opportunity to explore different subjects. Evening Arts Club provides the opportunity to specialise and go deeper into a subject." Initially the course will be focused on beginners but will cater for all abilities.</p> <p>Further intermediate and advanced programmes will be offered from September 2013 onwards. The students will also benefit from the experience and knowledge of their tutors, some of whom work as contemporary artists. The courses will commence from 14th January 2013 comprising of 3 hour sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.</p> <p>Registration for this exciting new course is now open and enrolment will be available until 7th January 2013. For those students considering further education in the arts, this programme will help build on their portfolios and expand their skills. This is just one of 3 new courses recently added to the short courses programme starting in the New Year at Plymouth College of Art. These include Perfect Your Portfolio, a 10 week course providing the opportunity to broaden your artistic skills and enhance your portfolio along with a 15 week Saturday Arts Club.
