The British Art Show 7

‘British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet’ featured works by 39 different artists including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, video, film and performance and employed the motif of the comet to explore and draw together a set of concerns that threaded their way through the practices of the selected artists.

This exhibition showcased the biggest and best of current British contemporary art, on display in the City from 17 September to 4 December 2011 across five venues: Peninsula Arts Gallery, University of Plymouth; Plymouth Arts Centre; Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery; Plymouth College of Art Gallery and the Slaughterhouse at the Royal William Yard. In addition to the main exhibition a ‘Constellation’ programme of events and activities including artist talks, film screenings, public performances and workshops will took place.

Plymouth College of Art showcased the following British Art Show 7 artists: Juliette Blightman, Brian Griffiths and Edgar Schmitz.
