Gallery Shorts: Live Make — Emma Gribble

By Jake May

We sit down with Emma Gribble, textile designer and lecturer on our BA (Hons) Printed Textile Design and Surface Pattern programme, as part of our Gallery Shorts mini-film series to talk teaching, textiles, and being a bit of a control freak...

Emma was one of six designer-makers, all college staff, who showed their work for our 'Live Make' exhibition in the Gallery at Plymouth College of Art, which ran from 27 April to 6 June 2015.

Emma established her own label in 2004 producing a collection of luxury and bespoke textiles celebrating a love of fine fabrics, colour and screen-printing techniques. Emma specialises in creating lampshades for both residential and commercial settings.

This film was directed by Jake May and filmed and edited by BA (Hons) Film students Robert Smith and Robert Marshall.
