Choosing to spend part of your degree living, studying and even working abroad can truly enrich your university experience, not to mention increase your employability.

<p dir="ltr">The Erasmus exchange programme has been in existence since the 1980s, and is a scheme that allows students to undertake study at universities in EU member states for set periods of time. </p> <p dir="ltr">Since the UK’s exit from the EU means that the UK is no longer a member state, students from the UK can no longer participate in outgoing Erasmus exchanges, however UK universities are still welcoming incoming students from EU member states who wish to study in the UK.</p> <p dir="ltr">Students who would like to apply to us from one of our partner institutions (detailed in the chart below) must be first nominated by their University.</p> <p dir="ltr">The deadlines to apply for studying with us are:</p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">15 May each year for the Autumn Semester (September – January)</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">15 November each year for the Spring Semester (February – June)​</p></li></ul><p>Find out more about the accommodation available in the city <a href="https://www.plymouthart.ac.uk/studying/accommodation">here</a>.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Arts University Plymouth students interested in studying abroad may be eligible for funding from the Turing Scheme. The Turing Scheme is a UK government’s scheme providing students funding for global opportunities across the world. Turing supports life-changing experiences to study or work abroad worldwide. Eligible students will receive a financial contribution for placements lasting between 4 weeks to 1 year. Each year Arts University Plymouth have to put together a bid to receive funding. We will know if we have been successful in receiving funding for the academic year September 2023 - August 2024 by the start of July 2023. <br /></p> <p dir="ltr">AUP students who are enrolled in studies leading to a recognised degree can take part in the Turing scheme. Students do not need to be UK nationals to be eligible for the scheme and can be studying full time, part time or have recently graduated. Current students can take part in a study or traineeship placement and those who have graduated within the last 12 months can carry out a traineeship abroad.</p> <p dir="ltr">Funding will be available through the Turing Scheme for placements during the period from September 2022 to August 2023.</p> <p dir="ltr">Study or traineeship placements can last four weeks to 12 months.</p> <p dir="ltr">To find out more contact us on: <a href="mailto:International@aup.ac.uk">international@aup.ac.uk</a><br /></p> <p>You can see the list of our <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/international/international-partnerships">international partners here</a>.
