<p>In this talk, <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/people/ian-hankey">Ian Hankey</a> (master glassblower and founding father of <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/virtual-tours/fab-lab-plymouth">Fab Lab Plymouth</a>) will discuss his new community interest start up, the Upcycled Glass Company. Tackling the huge problem of what to do with end of life window glass, as well as the waste glass that goes to landfill, Ian will share his innovative new processes that recreate 17th century renaissance glassmaking methodologies, alongside cutting edge digital design and technologies, in order to create new sustainable products and business models.<strong><br /></strong><br /><em>This talk is part of the <a href="https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/plymouth-social-enterprise-city-festival?mc_cid=719274b9ff&amp;mc_eid=b4d4c8b45c" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Plymouth Social Enterprise City Festival</a> and <a href="https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/invest/why-plymouth/creative-digital-city" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iMayflower project.</a></em><br /></p>
