Open Day
Before deciding where and what to study, it is important that you find out as much as you can about the place and the course you are interested in. At our on-campus Undergraduate & Postgraduate Open Day, we'll have everything you need to know about our BA (Hons) Degrees and our Postgraduate offering of MA and MFA courses.
Our Open Days are a chance for you to explore the college and our local surroundings, and to get a feel of what life’s like at an independent art school in Britain's Ocean City. You can experience our state-of-the-art studios and workshops, explore our campus, talk to our programme leaders, visit the accommodation on offer and talk through any questions or queries you might have with our knowledgeable staff. Representatives from Student Finance, Admissions, Student Support and the Student Union will be on-hand throughout your visit.
Your safety and wellbeing is our top priority and for this reason, we have adapted our Open Day format to further protect our guests, staff and students. The event schedule will take place twice, offering you the choice of two-time slots; 9.30-12.00pm or 12.30-3.30pm. Limited spaces are available, so book now to avoid disappointment!
Did you know we are also running an Online Open Day on 27th March? If you would prefer to attend our Open Day virtually please click here to find out more and sign up.
Please note: this event is currently scheduled to take place on campus but is subject to UK Government guidelines in March 2021. Whether online or on-campus, our staff are committed to ensuring you have the best possible experience at our events and we will notify all booked attendees of any changes to your registration.
Your Open Day experience will include:
A Welcome Talk by our Principal Andrew Brewerton who will give an overview of what Plymouth College of Art has to offer and how studying with us can prepare you for an exciting career in the creative industries.
A Campus Tour of our state-of-the-art facilities with demonstrations in our workshops from our expert technical staff.
A Course Overview Talk from our lead academics detailing the vast variety of courses we have to offer and showcasing the successful creative careers our alumni go on to. These talks will be split up into course areas which you will be able to choose from on the day. If you would like to go to more than one course area talk, please let us know and we will organise this for you.
There will also be the opportunity to have one-to-one chats with our academic, admissions, and student support staff as well the chance to find out what student life is like from our current students themselves! The topics we can cover include but are not limited to:
Course Information
Student Life

Portfolio Reviews
Application Process
Fees and Funding
