Art @ Edgcumbe
Site-specific artefacts designed and built to define a sense of the geography and history of Mount Edgcumbe, by second-year students studying BA (Hons) Craft & Material Practices at Plymouth College of Art.
The students worked from a brief and were asked to create work that connected to the rich stories and history of Mount Edgcumbe. The work displayed has been meticulously handmade using a range of innovative craft processes to provide the audience with interactive, visual and auditory experiences.
The pieces on display will include: honeycomb seating, a pop-art inspired spray can, an ephemeral installation, and a large interactive piece of sound art that harnesses the power of the wind.
