Make your creative business dreams a reality through the IGNITE Business Programme, part of the IGNITE Festival of Creativity. Over 8 workshops delivered by expert business consultant, Mark Cotton, you’ll learn key enterprise skills to kickstart your business ideas after graduation.
Open to all Plymouth students and graduates, this hands-on programme will equip you with practical skills to create your business and prepare your products or ideas for market. By the end of the training, you'll have developed a good understanding of business modelling and planning, supporting you to become a successful entrepreneur through your creative practice.
This event is part of the iMayflower project and has been supported by The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, who fund the Cultural Development Fund, which is administered by Arts Council England.

This training will be taught in person at Plymouth College of Art over 8 evening workshops. Delivered to a group of 25 participants, you will learn through a mixture of presentations, team tasks and 1-1 mentoring.
Led by industry expert, Mark Cotton, this training will introduce you to best practice in setting up, or developing your business. From business modelling, marketing, customer insight to copyright, you will leave the training equipped with key practical skills to become a successful entrepreneur.
To evidence your new enterprise skills, you will gain Digital Badges that evidence your accomplishment in each area; these accreditations can be added to your CV, email signature, or LinkedIn profile to highlight your new business skills.
This training is open to all Plymouth students and recent graduates (ideally have graduated within the last 3 years) aged 18 or over. It is perfect for students looking to develop their business skills in preparation for graduation or to grow their existing businesses. All skill levels and business stages are welcome.
