"We don't distinguish the decision you're making about your academic future from the one you're making about your life." ANDREW BREWERTON — Principal
  • Masters Programmes

We know that the arts, design and media generate significant cultural and social change out of the artefacts, experiences and services they create. Our postgraduate programme will give you profound insight into the contemporary creative landscape and empower you to work effectively from your carefully chosen place within it. Our Masters programmes are structured to encourage debate, exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. This is achieved through a combination of generic and specialist modules and a dedicated base used by all MA cohorts and alumni – the Graduate School. We're a partner institution of The Open University (OU), who validate all our Masters programmes.

More information about the Graduate School can be found here.

Information on funding options for postgraduate courses can be found at the bottom of the Fees, Finance, and Funding page.

Plymouth College of Art graduates applying for 2018/19 are offered a discount of 10% on Masters programme fees, valid for up to 5 years after graduating.

  • MFA Programmes

The MFA is suitable for artists, designers and creative practitioners with a well-developed practice, who have usually completed an MA, and wish to refine and consolidate a professional body of work suitable for public dissemination. To enrol on our MFA, a recent MA or 180 level 7 credits in an art, design, crafts or media discipline is normally required.
