National Art & Design Saturday Club 14-16yrs (2018-19) — Overview
September 2018 course now FULL.
National Art&Design Saturday Club is a free of charge programme for 14 – 16 year olds that forms part of the Sorrell Foundation’s national programme.
This national programme was established in 2009 at Plymouth College of Art. Students are provided with two opportunities to showcase their work at a prestigious London venue and they enjoy a masterclass with an international designer or artist.
During the year, Plymouth students will experience a range of art and design disciplines and will work on an extended project where they design and produce a range of items for sale or devise an activity to teach to younger children.
Not only do the students learn valuable skills in designing, making and marketing, but they also gain fundraising experience as all proceeds go to support families through our Young Arts Club bursary scheme.

Start Time: 10am
End Time: 1pm

A timetable outlining course content and precise dates (including holiday breaks) will be shared with all students closer to the course start date. The national programme includes an additional session where students visit London to view their work in the National Art&Design Saturday Club Summer Show. The date of this is typically a Saturday or Sunday in mid June.
Entry to this course is by application only. Each year, we award a free places to twenty students who demonstrate commitment and passion for art and design and have an interest in progressing into the creative industries. We will accept students a second time based on the same selection criteria, but must give priority to those that are completely new.
