10 week Printmaking for Improvers (Jan 2020) — Overview
This course is aimed at those who have some basic experience of printmaking, you will have the chance to explore and express your creativity through a range of printing techniques. The course is suitable to those who also want a refresher in the workshop techniques listed, to help support and revive your printmaking skills. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your printing skills in a fully equipped Print Room

The workshops will cover various printmaking techniques, where you will learn how to create prints through mono-printing, lino-cut, reduction lino, collagraph and screen printing. The course will also cover general Health & Safety and working practices in the Print Room and you will be shown how to use all the relevant tools and equipment. You will be encouraged to carry out individual projects, so if you have any ideas, sketches, photographs or objects you would like to use as an inspiration please bring them along.

Materials and Equipment
Please bear in mind we will be getting inky, so wear old clothes and closed-toe shoes for your safety.
Please note that all courses are subject to student numbers and will only run if sufficient numbers are achieved. Plymouth College of Art reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient student numbers are recruited.
