Hot Glass for Improvers — Overview
Over the ten weeks, you will develop your basic glassmaking skills and will apply design and flair to your own personal projects. You will recap on how to work safely with glass directly from a furnace and will learn how to use the appropriate equipment and techniques to enable you to sculpt and blow advanced hot glass forms.
Completion of the Beginners Hot Glass Short Course or equivalent experience.
Materials and Equipment
Materials for this course are included in the course fee. It is a hot studio and you will get hot so please dress accordingly - cotton tops are advisable. Trousers – linen, cotton, jeans and work boots are required. Hair must be tied back. Please bring a pen and notebook to each session.
Please note that all courses are subject to student numbers and will only run if sufficient numbers are achieved. Plymouth College of Art reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient student numbers are recruited.
