10 week Illustration for Beginners (Sept 2015) — Overview
The enrolment deadline for this course is 9 am, Fri 11 Sept 2015. Bookings will close at this time, or when the course is full, whichever is sooner. No enrolments will be taken after the deadline has passed.

This course is aimed at people interested in learning skills and techniques to communicate visually. Throughout the course you will progress through experimental drawing, print and painting exercises, while looking at different types of illustration and art, exploring how to use mark-making and composition to create imagery. Sessions are a mixture of tutor-led talks, demonstrations, experimentation with artist's materials, drawing and painting techniques, one-to-one support and sharing/communicating with peers. Although you will practise drawing and painting skills this is not exclusively an instructional drawing/painting course. At each level learners are encouraged to develop at their own rate through practising tutor-led tasks.
