At Plymouth College of Art we believe higher education is a catalyst for personal, professional and cultural transformation, and now more than ever, creative innovation plays a vital role in a globalised society.

At Plymouth College of Art we explore new horizons and push the boundaries of creative practice, encouraging students to think of themselves as professionals from their first day on campus. Each year our annual showcase offers students the opportunity to celebrate the culmination of their hard work whilst propelling them into the creative industries.

Boasting a wealth of experience and accolades, the Class of 2022 have scooped prizes at The Royal Television Society Student Television Awards, have featured on Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year, have repeatedly won awards at JDO RAW and been selected for the NAHEMI programme.

Our students graduate with the confidence and technical ability needed to thrive in their area of expertise.

  • The Board of Governors Awards highlight and celebrate the outstanding achievement of students who have overcome obstacles to educational achievement, raised the profile of the college, and demonstrated a significant contribution to college life.

  • The Principal’s Commendation Awards recognise outstanding creative and academic achievement, alongside a sustained contribution to the college community, where the student has produced high-quality work, made significant progress, and made a positive contribution to the programme through excellent studentship.

  • The Dean’s Awards recognise work of outstanding quality, judged on the work to be exhibited in graduate shows.

Nominations are currently being made by teaching staff.

Funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, IGNITE 2022 presents an online directory of emerging graduate talent.
