At Plymouth College of Art we believe higher education is a catalyst for personal, professional and cultural transformation, and now more than ever, creative innovation plays a vital role in a globalised society.

At Plymouth College of Art we explore new horizons and push the boundaries of creative practice, encouraging students to think of themselves as professionals from their first day on campus. Each year our annual showcase offers students the opportunity to celebrate the culmination of their hard work whilst propelling them into the creative industries.

This year’s graduates should be commended for their tenacious spirit and resilience.

Boasting a wealth of experience and accolades, the Class of 2021 have scooped prizes at The Royal Television Society Student Television Awards, have featured on Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year, have repeatedly won awards at JDO RAW and been selected for the NAHEMI programme.

Our students graduate with the confidence and technical ability needed to thrive in their area of expertise.

The School of Arts + Media

Go beyond the studio and interrogate the social, aesthetic and practical dimensions of contemporary practice with staff and students from the interdisciplinary School of Arts + Media.

The School of Design + Communication

Radical and revolutionary, contemporary design has the power to both redefine our everyday lives and solve urgent global issues. Staff and students from the School of Design + Communication are pushing the boundaries of aesthetics to affect real-world change.

What's On

Funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, IGNITE 2021 presents an online directory of emerging graduate talent. In partnership with the University of Plymouth and Plymouth City Council, the Ignite platform presents the international viewing public, press and potential employers with the opportunity to browse hundreds of graduate profiles and portfolios, highlighting the hotbed of creative talent that is the vibrant city of Plymouth.
