Graduates and experienced artists, designers and makers will now be able to book studio access to make the most of our specialist facilities in a new scheme called Studio Access.
Studio Access currently has bookable slots for limited numbers in Ceramics, Glass, Printmaking, Printed Textiles and Jewellery.
"This is an exciting development for supporting our alumni and the local creative community," said Project Coordinator Rosie Gibson.
"Going forward we aim to expand our offer to include media facilities and fashion studios, as well as being able to increase the number of places available for each bookable slot."
Current students' access to studios and workshops will remain as usual.
Is Studio Access for me?
Studio Access sessions are designed for you if you do not require tuition. Sessions will be supervised by a technician who will be on hand to sell selected materials and provide technical advice to support you in realising your creative projects.
You might be working on a commission, producing samples or simply need to fire some work. Studio Access sessions provide you with the flexibility to access facilities only when you need them.
It's possible you will be working in a less busy studio environment than on our popular Short Courses and, unlike our structured courses, you are completely free to pursue your own project ideas, subject to health and safety considerations.
Studio Access can be booked as a single session for £30 for a three hour slot, or you can make book a block of 5 sessions for a discounted £100 (£20 per session). Registration for the Studio Access scheme will be a one-off £5 fee covering administration costs.
The first Studio Access slots start week commencing Monday 2 November. Bookings close on 26 Oct for block bookings, and between 2 and 6 days in advance of single slots.
