We're looking for applications from recent graduates of the college for a new alumni exhibition set to take place this summer in the Gallery at Plymouth College of Art.
The show will run from Thursday 16th July to Friday 28th August and, like all of the exhibitions in the Gallery, will be entirely open to members of the public as well as students and staff of the college.
“This is a great opportunity to show in a professionally-run gallery with a history of curating and promoting very strong exhibitions from nationally and internationally-known artists – putting your work on show to an audience much wider than the walls of the college,” said Gallery curator Hannah Jones.
“The college is committed to supporting and promoting the fantastic work of our alumni and this exhibition is another clear demonstration of this,” she added.
"Not only will this be an opportunity to put your work on show to the South West's engaged arts and culture audience, but this will be a great experience in preparing your work for exhibition and everything that comes with us – such as working with a team to install and de-install."
Applicants should have graduated within the last three years and should be able to demonstrate an active, professional practice developed in this time. We’re particularly interested to hear from graduates who have had opportunities through residencies, exhibitions or commissions.
The work exhibited must be for sale and Plymouth College of Art will be taking 20% commission from all items sold.
