By Lauren Taverner Brown

Disciples are set to perform at MTV Music Week in Plymouth this June.

MTV UK have just announced the second round of performers for MTV Music Week Plymouth 2019, with Disciples, Kurupt FM and Young T & Bugsey joining the exciting roster of fresh talent, which includes Ghetts, Jvck James, Ms Banks, Pale Waves, RAY BLK, R3WIRE & VARSKI, Snoochie Shy and The Amazons.

Running from 5 – 8 June, the four-day event will see MTV continue their Plymouth legacy, descending on Britain's Ocean City to present live music evening events: Club MTV, MTV PRESENTS, MTV PUSH Live and YO! MTV Raps, as well as a range of curated panel talks and workshops during the day.

Indie rock outfit Pale Waves will play MTV Music Week in Plymouth before heading off to support Muse on their upcoming UK stadium tour.

Following on from many successful MTV events in Plymouth, including MTV Crashes Plymouth and MTV PRESENTS: Ocean City Sounds; MTV Music Week Plymouth 2019 marks a new direction for the Plymouth showcase, with a host of free daytime panel talks and events taking place at venues across the city, including our very own Social Space and Students' Union here at Plymouth College of Art, as well as The Lab at Theatre Royal Plymouth, The Treasury, The Hub and the University of Plymouth's Students' Union. Check out the daytime events and book your free tickets here.

Announced this week was the addition of top industry insiders Becca Dudley, Jack Saunders and Tinea Taylor, who will be taking part in panels, workshops and exclusive artist interviews throughout the four-day event. Additional performers and speakers will continue to be announced at later dates.

The Amazons are a rock band from Reading, whose debut album reached number 8 in the UK charts.

MTV Breaks, MTV’s prosocial platform, will also be presenting a series of talks, panels and workshops focusing on networking skills, inclusion and accessibility, social influencers, UK rap music and women in music.

Tickets for YO MTV Raps and MTV PUSH Live will start at £10 (+ booking fee). Tickets for MTV Presents and CLUB MTV will start at £17 (+ booking fee). Book tickets for the evening events here.
