Running as part of our annual Graduate Shows, our BA (Hons) Fashion students unveiled their fashion-forward designs on the catwalk for our Fashion Graduate Collections 2016.
With subjects ranging from youth culture and illustrative pattern to gender neutrality and the relationship between art and fashion, the show was a fantastic opportunity for fashion-enthusiasts, aspiring designers, industry, press, and friends and family to see our students’ innovative and contemporary fashion designs on the catwalk at a professionally-run show.
Hosted at the award-winning Red House with half a dozen photographers and filmmakers, the Fashion Graduate Collections received a big crowd vying to see the creations of these emerging designers as they finish their degree here at the college.
“Once again our recent Graduate Fashion Show showcased an exciting range of collections designed by our graduating and second year students using the fantastic resources available within the college,” said BA (Hons) Fashion programme leader Ali Braybrook.
"Our students work individually or as part of a collaboration to source and create fabrics, exploiting the aesthetic potential of the garments through experimental pattern cutting and construction techniques. Representatives from industry and outside agencies presented awards to students in recognition of their creativity and commercial awareness at the show. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fashion department team for their hard work and dedication.”
