By Sarah Packer

Join the next generation of creative trailblazers from 15-21 June at ODYSSEY: Pre-degree Summer Show 2019.

We’ve opened up Palace Court, our dedicated Pre-degree campus for their annual Summer Show, running alongside the college-wide Degree Shows 2019.

Featuring art from the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming young creatives, the Pre-degree Summer Show is free and open to the public from 15 - 21 June. Find out more.

Students aged 16-19 from our UAL Extended Diploma in Art & Design programmes have transformed Palace Court's open-plan studios into a lively gallery space, showcasing art, fashion, design and digital media.

Visitors can enjoy a diverse collection of cross-collaborative artwork, conceptual thinking and impressive technique, as students on the pre-degree courses celebrate the culmination of two years of intensive experimentation and personal development.

Mixed media artwork on display includes installation, photography, sculpture, garment construction, printmaking, web graphics and more, as a new generation of artists, designers and makers take the bold leap into undergraduate study and commercial success.

“For these young professionals this exhibition is the crowning triumph of a two year, intense, exciting experience in which they develop not just amazing technical skills but the personal character to put these skills into action in their future careers.” —  Matias Shortcook,  Associate Dean of Pre-degree

The public opening on Friday 14 June saw a live fashion presentation from UAL Extended Diploma Fashion & Textiles students, offering an exclusive preview of this year’s pre-degree collections.
