Still deciding where to study a creative degree this September? We’re pleased to host an Open Afternoon to support your decision-making process.
This event is designed for you to experience our state-of-the-art facilities, meet lecturing staff and receive top tips for your portfolio. Whilst here you’ll also have the opportunity to explore our unique city by the sea and our local creative community.
You’ll be shown around our specialist workshops and inspiring studio spaces, talk to our friendly staff and students, participate in live workshops and discover life on campus. Also pop along to an accommodation tour, and find out all you need to know about living in Plymouth.
Our Admissions Team will be on hand to discuss UCAS applications and interviews, whilst Student Support staff can advise on all things finance and admissions related.
Ever wondered what it feels like to 3D print a product from scratch? How about direct your own costume drama? With live demos running all day our Open Day's are the perfect opportunity to preview life at an independent art school and gain a new skill. Break up your afternoon with half hour workshops beginning at 1pm and 2pm, ranging from drop-in portrait photography, to creating a brand identity, film direction, costume styling, virtual reality animation, screen-printing, print your own phone case and presentations in our digital fabrication laboratory - FabLab. Get stuck in and don't hesitate to ask our technicians any questions!
Whether your work takes the form of physical or digital, we’re keen to see your creative vision. Bring along what you have so far of your portfolio to gain advice on layout, self-editing, and how to display your work to show off your talents at interview. Our academic staff will be on hand to support and guide, and make sure you feel fully prepared for the big day. You can also read our top tips article on our blog.
