Skills South West 2019

Skills South West is the region's largest careers, jobs, skills and apprenticeship event. It brings young people from the South West face-to-face with employers, training providers, professional bodies, colleges and universities.

Skills South West 2019 will take place at Plymouth Pavilions, and the team from Plymouth College of Art's dedicated pre-degree campus, Palace Court, will be on hand to showcase our range of exciting, creative options for post-16 study.

We'll have a selection of fun, interactive workshops for you to get involved with, from making your own tote bags and macro photography, to creating tongue-in-cheek collages by folding images of celebrity faces.

Students from our pre-degree courses will also be on hand for you to chat to, and you will have the chance to speak to our friendly academic staff, as well as taking away lots of information on the courses we offer.

Creative workshops include:

  • Tote bag making
  • Draw-a-saurus - a collaborative drawing tree
  • Macro photography
  • Tilt Brush - virtual reality
  • Satirical collage
  • Student table
  • Flash mob fashion show

During the evening on Wednesday 13 March, we're also inviting parents to come and chat to us about the opportunities available for students at Plymouth College of Art.
