In need of a change of direction? Want to return to higher education on a creative undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Plymouth College of Art?
If this sounds like you, Plymouth College of Art is offering a free 6-week short course to get to grips with various artistic media and techniques, developing a portfolio of work as you go. During the course, you will make, discuss and experiment with materials and ideas whilst supporting your preparation for higher education interviews, by improving your confidence and curatorial language. Previous students of Making Change have gone on to study Fashion, Textiles, Fine Art, 3D Design Crafts and Painting, Drawing & Printmaking.
And it's all free!
You don't need to be the next Van Gogh to take part, you just have to bring your enthusiasm and meet the following criteria:
- I am aged 21+
- I'm eligible to work in the UK (i.e. I have a National Insurance number)
- I am considering a return to creative study at an undergraduate or postgraduate level AND I am not currently studying/have not previously studied at undergraduate or postgraduate level
- I am able to attend at least 10 of the 12 sessions (see below)

Please note that places on this course are limited and subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria above. All courses are subject to participant numbers and will only run if sufficient numbers are achieved. Plymouth College of Art reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient participant numbers are recruited.

- What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the College?
Plymouth College of Art is in the city centre and is within walking distance of all bus routes, as well as Plymouth train station. Alternatively, there are many pay and display car parks in Plymouth city centre, including the nearby Drake Circus shopping centre.
- What should I bring to the course?
You will need to bring documentation to prove your eligibility for the course. Instructions will be sent via email prior to the course's start. You are welcome to bring your own tools, but all necessary materials will be provided.
