To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’ll be hosting free craft workshops at Drake Circus mall all day on Friday 8 March.
With it’s roots in the early 1900s, International Women’s Day was adopted by the United Nations in 1975, and has grown steadily in popularity since. In some countries, International Women’s Day is even recognised as an official holiday.
For International Women’s Day 2019, the campaign theme is #BalanceforBetter.
A balanced world is a better world. How can you help forge a more gender-balanced world? The campaign aims to celebrate women's achievement, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality.
Guided by our creative students and staff, make your voice heard by creating button badges or by screenprinting your own tote bag using our portable screenprinter.
The workshops will be held at the Cornwall Street Entrance to Drake Circus (opposite Bill’s). Pop down between 9am and 6pm to get involved.
