Plymouth College of Art Young Creators Club have an exciting fashion option for the new year, for any young designers and makers who want to try something totally different.
Starting on Saturday 6 January 2018, Young Creators aged 13 - 16 can experiment with fashion illustration, discover where clothes come from, learn making and embellishment techniques and even try their hand at fashion photography.
This ten week course is led by tutor Jess Dyer, who also teaches on our Pre Degree courses at our Palace Court campus on Buckwell Street. Over the ten weeks, Jess will lead Young Creators on a learning journey through technical skills workshops and design sessions, culminating in creating their own imaginative fashion monsters. These creatures are unique, one off creations which each student will be able to take home.
Jess said, ”On this course, Young Creators will get the chance to really unleash their creativity: stitching, pinning and stapling their fashion monster into life! We will reuse and recycle waste materials and clothing to create a set of unique fashion monsters, where sleeves become legs, collars become waistlines, and proportions will be transformed into the extraordinary. We can’t wait to see the creations our students will come up with!”
