The Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey
What is the DLHE survey?
In January each year, all recent graduates in the UK are contacted as part of the Higher Education Statistics Agency's Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey. We use a survey company called iGraduate to conduct this survey and so you will be contacted by them early in the year by email and phone.
The survey is intended to find out what graduates are doing 6 months after completing their degree. We want to know if you have continued studying, whether you have got a job (and what type of job), or are you running your own business?
Facts about completing the survey
When conducting the survey iGraduate will ask for your Student Number. This information can be found on your College card. If you have any issue locating your student number, please do get in contact with the College and we can provide any information that you need.
You will be asked about your current employment regarding a specific date in January. This encompasses everything from paid employment, freelancing and personal professional development. We would be grateful if you can provide as much information as possible when contacted to ensure that we are capturing the full range of activity you are undertaking.
You will have a couple of chances to complete the survey. The data is collected between January and March the year after you graduate. Initially you will receive an email with a link to complete the survey online. If this isn't responded to you will get the opportunity to answer the questions over the phone.
The survey will take 15 - 20 minutes to complete. It is really important that you do complete the survey as it helps the College understand how the degrees that we offer enable you to achieve your initial goals in terms of employment and professional practice.
