Our Short Courses offer a broad range of activities designed to introduce you into the creative disciplines on offer at Plymouth College of Art.
Our tutor-led workshops are designed to deliver a tailored approach to your learning, utilising your technical and creative skills to work alongside fellow students and your tutor where you will work to create a final project in a studio environment using the tools on offer. You can book onto a course by visiting the individual course pages and clicking 'Apply Now' at the top left of the page. This will take you through to an Eventbrite booking form.
You can pay for your course via the online booking system (Eventbrite) or through reception. To pay over the phone call 01752 203434.
We offer online courses which take place over Google Meet. Our in-person courses take place in the studios at our Tavistock Place campus.
Please arrive 30 minutes early for your first session (not applicable for online courses). You will be enrolled onto your course and a student card will be issued to you the following week. You can add credit for printing or for materials to your card via reception.

‘Beginner’ means you have little or no experience of the subject, or you would like more time learning the basics.
‘Improver’ means you’ve learnt the basics or have previously completed a beginners course and want to extend your knowledge.

Our talented teachers are practicing artists and creatives, some of whom teach on our Undergraduate courses. All of them are experienced teachers and have professional experience in their field.
Progression onto degree level or masters level study is available at Plymouth College of Art. Throughout the year we hold Open Days where students and their families can visit our campuses, chat to current students and staff, and find out about all the options available to them for creative study here at Plymouth College of Art.
