Introduction to Glass Kiln Forming at Plymouth College of Art

Description

This workshop is an introduction to architectural and sheet glass kiln forming techniques including fusing, slumping and enameling. You will explore the different effects of colour, texture and light and be encouraged to experiment with sand blasting, mould making and various colour applications in order to carry out a series of vibrant test pieces, leading to the development of a final piece of work. Class sizes are limited.
 
Entry requirement: For beginners.
 
What you need to bring: Suitable clothing and footwear. Pen and notebook.

Cost: £400 – Please note there may be an additional materials charge when you start the course but this will be explained to you by the lecturer
