<p dir="ltr">Elaine Sinclair is a curator and producer based in Plymouth. Elaine completed her Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Arts University Plymouth in 2017. She then completed her BA in Art History and Curating from Manchester School of Art.<br /></p> <p dir="ltr">As Assistant Curator and Programme Producer at <a href="https://mirrorplymouth.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MIRROR</a>, Elaine is responsible for producing the programme of exhibitions and events for our students, staff and the wider public alongside Hannah Rose (Curator). She also maintains partnerships with other organisations around the city, manages our student volunteers and takes the lead on marketing for <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mirror_plymouth/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MIRROR</a>.<br /></p> <p dir="ltr">Elaine has worked in multiple arts organisations across the UK including; <a href="https://www.paradise-works.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Paradise Works</a>, Manchester as a Committee Member, and <a href="https://www.holdengallery.mmu.ac.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Holden Gallery</a>, Manchester as an Exhibitions Assistant. Returning to Plymouth in 2020, Elaine worked as a Curatorial Assistant at <a href="https://karst.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">KARST Gallery and Studios</a> on the programme of exhibitions for two years.<br /></p> <p dir="ltr">She has presented her work at Open Eye Gallery, Manchester, and has produced community outreach projects including <a href="https://plymouthartweekender.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Plymouth Art Weekender</a>, <a href="https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/students-and-family/arts-institute-public-programme/plymouth-contemporary-2021" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Plymouth Contemporary </a>and <a href="https://www.georgiewileman.com/this-is-endometriosis-1/sa40bgzlddf4cddx3fu2zfbhxqqbin" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">This is Endometriosis</a> Global Photography Campaign.<br /></p> <p dir="ltr">Elaine is passionate about professional development and opportunities for artists. She is dedicated to supporting the development of the local art scene and engaging with, and building audiences for culture in Plymouth and beyond.</p> <p dir="ltr">Elaine is also the Assistant Curator and Communications Coordinator for <a href="https://www.harbourhouse.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Harbour House</a>, Kingsbridge.</p>
