An Applied Arts student has won the competition to design a trophy for next year's regional Media Innovation Awards.Jodie Burns's winning creation is an orange and translucent glass orb.
Art students at the college were invited to submit designs for the awards, which are to be presented at a gala dinner on March 18.
Jodie, in the second year of the Applied Art foundation degree, said she was thrilled to have won.
"I used the Media Innovation Awards' branding as the basis for my design and interpreted it in the medium of glass, which I love working with," she said.
"My challenge now will be to produce the 18 trophies in time for the awards ceremony."
