Leah Hartnell, 23, from Liskeard, who studied fashion at Plymouth College of Art, showcased her stunning collection at one of the world's largest fashion events, the Clothes Show Live, in Birmingham in December.
Specialising in cocktail wear, Leah’s collection captured the elegance and glamour of couture evening wear.

Other high profile brands on the runway included Jaeger, Roberto Cavalli, Read or Dead, LK Bennett, French Connection, Hackett, Rebecca Cella and many more.

Leah said: “I really enjoyed the show. It was exciting to sit back and see my pieces on the catwalk in a professional atmosphere. I felt the set design and lighting really complimented the garments.

“The models looked fantastic and the dancers added a buzz to the show. Being amongst the audience in the Fashion Theatre was very surreal and inspiring when witnessing the crowd’s positive reactions.

“It has been a great opportunity to showcase my work to a large audience”.

Natasha Lawson from Artist Springboard said: “The work included innovative pattern cutting mixed with luxurious silks, lace, and delicate Swarovski crystal beading that provides the spirit and significance of unique femininity.”

The striking pieces were on the runway at different scenes of the festive themed fashion theatre that seated approximately 6,500 people per performance.

Leah’s work was featured with other designers selected by artistspringboard.com, which is an online portal that supports fashion artists. Her exclusive pieces are made to order.
