We want to find out about your creative potential, your abilities and interests, which is why we invite every candidate to attend an interview on campus and to show a portfolio of work.
We’re looking for students who want to succeed, work hard and who’ll be committed to the course, as well as for evidence of subject knowledge in the area you’re looking to study. This could be shown through your research into artists, designers, makers and their work.
Treat it as a chance to tell us about your aspirations, and why you want to study at the college. It is also a good moment to find out what we can offer you.
Our interview weeks are w/c 6 and 13 February 2017, don’t forget that your interview is a chance for you to ask questions, as well as answer them.
You may want to do some basic research on our website about the course you’re applying for before arriving and make note of any questions that you might have. We’ve given you a few examples below, but feel free to ask anything that you’re curious about!
1. What opportunities are there for working directly with industry?
2. How many contact hours (direct face to face time with a tutor) will there be?
3. What types of employment have alumni gone into after this course?
4. What costs can I expect during the course?
5. Is there any reading I should do before the start of the course?
On arrival please head straight for the main reception desk to register your attendance and be shown to your interview. If you have any time before your interview, please relax in the create café or explore our public gallery whilst you wait.
Light refreshments will be available during our interview weeks, and there are lots of places to eat within a short walking distance from the college, including our own create café on campus.
Can't make your interview? If you are unable to attend your interview, please call Admissions on 01752 203400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. We will reschedule your interview as soon as we can for a new time and date. Please let us know in advance if there are any specific dates you will not be available on, and note we do have limited slots available on Saturdays at request.
If you have any questions about travel, parking or staying overnight, please give us a call and we would be happy to help you plan your trip to Plymouth.
And finally… our interviews are relaxed and friendly, so try not to be too nervous! We’re excited to meet you and learn about your creativity, so remember to bring your portfolio.
