PL:ay A festival of adventure, anticipation and encounters

PL:ay was a one day festival of adventure, anticipation and encounters, showcasing artists predominantly from the South West presenting live art, video, photography and installation with a strong performative quality in Plymouth, for free.

PL:ay presented the work of 19 individual artists and artist collaborations to over 3500 people in various locations throughout Plymouth city centre in July 2007.

PL:ay showcased the work of:
Action hero, Augusto Corrieri, Dando and Weitz, Dawn Scarfe, Emma Bush, Isgard Bright-Roberts, Jason Hirons, Jenny Hunt, John Chapman, LOW PROFILE, Mary Hurrell, Neil Callaghan and Simone Kenyon, Pete F Davies, Propeller, Sam Hasler with Bill Wroath, Sean Hawkridge, Search Party, Spaghetti Club and These Horses.

PL:ay was produced jointly by LOW PROFILE and one.c and was funded by Arts Council England, Plymouth City Council, Plymouth College of Art and Design and Plymouth Arts Centre with support from Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery. PL:ay's project interns were Dan Baker, Natalie Parrett and Ruth Shorrock.
