The College is located in the heart of Plymouth, within a thriving and bustling City Centre and a short journey from Dartmoor and the stunning Devon and Cornwall coast. Within easy reach of the City Centre, is the historic Plymouth Hoe and Barbican, a popular location for dining and sight-seeing! The College has excellent transport links with railway and bus station within close proximity. Regular flights are also available between Plymouth and other UK cities.

Accommodation

Undergoing a period of massive re-development, Plymouth is a growing city offering a wide range of rented accommodation from privately owned halls of residence, flats and shared houses which are in most cases located near the College and City Centre. The accommodation is priced very reasonably in comparison to other major cities.

Students Union

The College seeks to support an active Students Union. The Union organises a variety of social activities enabling students from different programmes to get to know each other including barbecues, trips and end of term parties

Visiting Artists

As part of the student experience, Plymouth College of Art invites practicing artists and designers from many creative disciplines throughout the academic year to undertake lectures and workshops as part of the visiting artists programme.

Educational Trips

To complement the practical and theoretical elements of our courses, students are encouraged to visit art galleries and exhibitions around the country, looking at the work of past and contemporary artists and designers. The visits can also include trips to trade shows and specific design workshops.
