
Weekend Activities at Plymouth College of Art
Saturday Arts ClubThe Arts Club caters for students aged between 9 and 17, broken down into three age categories. During the course of the year participants will take part in a programmed range of activities appropriate to their age group, utilizing the specialist resources that the Art College has to offer. These activities include; photography, textiles, graphic design, multimedia, small metal design, ceramics, digital photography, moving image, printing, drawing and painting.
For the younger age group the emphasis will be on trying new media and techniques in a fun and stimulating environment, whilst for the older participants there will be the opportunity to explore a variety of specialisms in depth and develop areas of specific interest. For those who express an interest in progressing onto art and design courses at FE/HE level, there will also be advice and guidance on portfolio development and presentation.

Outside the Lines (Age 4 to 8) at Plymouth College of Art
"Outside the Lines" is a course designed for parents and their children between the ages of 4-8 years old and will explore print making, clay, drawing, photography and digital media. The course is all about being creative and having fun with art, design and media and provides an ideal introduction for those at the top end of the age range to progress onto our popular Saturday Arts Club.
This course runs between 10am and 12pm from the 25th September until the 27th November and will be divided into five two week blocks. The cost of this course is £80. Students are advised to bring a packed lunch.
