Part Time Courses at Plymouth College of Art

All in all, the College offers an excellent learning environment to get those creative juices flowing!

Masters

We are pleased to announce our exciting new range of Masters programmes which are offered on a part-time basis over a 2 year period. For more information, please visit the postgraduate section of our website.  If you wish to apply, this can be done using our on-line application system.

Part Time Degrees

For those who are interested in undertaking one of our degrees, we also offer these on a part-time basis. Set modules are delivered for each year of study. Approximate fees and entry requirements for our part time degrees are detailed below.

Part Time Foundation Degree

Length: Part-time Foundation Degrees require three or four years of study
Programme Fee: £280 for a 10-credit module, £560 for a 20-credit module and £1120 or a 40-credit module for 2011/12 (fees are subject to annual review)
Previous Experience: For 2011/12, you will be expected to have obtained qualifications in a relevant subject at advanced level equating to 200 UCAS points (e.g. BTEC National Diploma, Foundation Workshop, Advanced Levels) and/or have relevant vocational experience. This can be assessed from a portfolio.
Foundation Degree Programmes

Part Time BA (Hons) Honours programme

Length: Part-time BA (Hons) Degrees require five or 6 years of study

Fee: £280 for a 10-credit module, £560 for a 20-credit module and £1120 for a 40-credit module for 2011/12 (fees are subject to annual review but give complete parity of costs with the full time programmes)

Previous Experience: For 2011/12, you will be expected to have obtained qualifications in a relevant subject at advanced level equating to 200UCAS points (e.g. BTEC National Diploma, Foundation Diploma, A Levels etc) and/or have relevant vocational experience. This can be assessed from a portfolio at interview.

BA Honours Programme (Top-Up)

Length: 2 years
Workshop Fee: £280 for a 10-credit module, £560 for a 20-credit module and £1120 for a 40-credit module for 2011/12 (fees are subject to annual review)
Previous Experience: You should already have obtained a Higher National Diploma, Foundation Degree or completed the second stage of a degree in a relevant discipline, and be able to show an ability to undertake critical analysis and research.
