We take your rights very seriously, whenever we collect information on you, we will ensure it shall be:

  • Processed fairly and lawfully and shall not be processed unless certain conditions are met.
  • Obtained for specific and lawful purposes and not further processed in a manner incompatible with that purpose.
  • Adequate, relevant and not excessive.
  • Kept for no longer than necessary.
  • Processed in accordance with data subjects rights.
  • Protected by appropriate security.
  • Not transferred without adequate protection.

Data Protection Act 1998

All data on our graduates is securely held in the alumni office and will be treated confidentially and with sensitivity for the benefit of Plymouth College of Art and its members. The data is available to our faculties academic and administrative departments associated with the college.

Data is used for a range of alumni activities, including the sending of college publications, the promotion of benefits and services available to alumni, notification of alumni events and of programmes involving academic and administrative departments. Data may also be used in fund-raising programmes which might include an element of direct marketing.

 Under the terms of the 1998 Data Protection Act you have the right to withhold consent for the use of your data for any or all of the above purposes. If you wish to register and objection please email marketing@plymouthart.ac.uk
