Alumni Funds
Creating opportunities
Being a student in a specialist college of art and design offers so much more than the opportunity to acquire a qualification. It’s about working with like-minded people, pushing the boundaries, challenging convention and finding out about yourself.
The aims of the Plymouth College of Art Alumni Fund are to:
- Provide bursaries and scholarships for students in financial need
- Support projects which will benefit all students eg enhancements to the Learning Resources Centre, support for the Students’ Union
The support of its alumni is the most valuable endorsement that an education institution can have. Along with our current students you are Plymouth College of Art’s best and most influential ambassadors. Your commitment to supporting the continued excellence of specialist art and design education is a key element in ensuring the country remains one of the strongholds of creativity in the world.
You may not be in a position to give regularly to the fund, a single gift, no matter how small, will still make a big impact in improving further the student experience at Plymouth College of Art.
Tax-efficient giving
In order to maximise the funding available all donations to the Alumni Fund should be made to the Plymouth College of Art Charitable Trust. The Trust is a registered charity and therefore any gift from a UK basic rate tax payer qualifies for Gift Aid, increasing the value of the gift by 28%. For every one pound, you give we get an extra 28 pence from the Government – that’s 28% extra and it doesn’t cost you a penny.
